Caseboard offers a comprehensive file search feature, allowing you to search for files of various types and sizes, regardless of their storage location. Using filters, you can refine your queries to quickly locate the necessary information.
Once located, files can be converted into Caseboard entities. The files themselves are attached within these entities and can be opened in their native programs with just one click.
The advantage of attaching physical files to entities is that when you enter this data into the Intelligence Database, the files are included as well. This means that even if the original files are deleted from their source locations, copies will remain in the database for future reference.

To perform file searches, you can utilize various filters and grouping parameters. In the search options, you can specify whether to search for the word or phrase in the file name or within the file contents.
The file search feature can locate text within editable files like .doc, .xlsx, and .txt, as well as non-editable files such as .pdf.
