Faces Identification
In the Faces Identification section, Mobile Explorer offers several analysis tools tailored for facial biometrics. These tools enable the identification of faces in extracted photos, grouping similar faces into clusters based on similarity.
Additionally, users can generate diagrams to identify individuals appearing together in photos and even search for similar faces across extractions.
Faces Identification - Cluster Analysis
The cluster analysis tool aims to group the same or very similar faces into groups. Thus, with this type of analysis, it is possible to identify whether a face appeared in different photos or extractions.
When you click Cluster Analysis, if there are clusters of clusters already created, based on the processing of the images.

After completing image processing, you can generate a diagram of faces found in device photos by clicking ‘Analyze Links’. This option establishes connections between two faces if they have appeared together in a photo at any point.
OCR
The OCR (Optical Character Recognition) tool extracts text from images found in mobile phone extractions and converts them into searchable and editable fields within Caseboard. This includes extracting text from conversation screenshots, photos of database deposit receipts, and various documents.
Prior to this, it is essential to process the identification of these texts on the devices to enable subsequent textual searches.
